How do clouds form?

Clouds have a wide variety of shapes and sizes. Clouds are made out of water & ice.   Clouds form when rising air, through expansion, cools to the point where some of themolecules "clump together" faster than they are torn apart by their thermal energy. Some of that water vapor condenses to form cloud droplets or ice crystals. There are many clouds, small, medium, and large. Clouds usually form when two weather fronts meet.

  1. There are lots of different types of clouds, but the ones that fascinate me are Mammatus Clouds. Mammatus Clouds are like saggy Pouch like structures, they are usually found on the underside of an anvil cloud. The reason some people think Mammatus clouds mean severe weather is coming, is because they often appear before a strong storm moves in.
I think these clouds are very i;interesting looking and their one of my favorite types of clouds.
